INT. MOVIE THEATER – NIGHT
The movie theater is filled with audiences. The only lights visible are the screen and the lights on the stairway.
Dylan and Sara are sitting somewhere in the center section in the middle row. Dylan is asleep and Sara notices. Sara continues to watch the movie.
DREAM – ROLLER COASTER RIDE DURING THE DAY
DYLAN is riding on a thrilling roller coaster. He is sitting in the front, so he is not sure if there is anyone behind him.
He is rising from the start and reaches to the peak before the drop. He can feel his stomach hanging like his body being tore in half. Then the roller coaster begins its way down and continues on just a quick second. The same scenario repeats itself for about four times.
DYLAN feels very nauseous both in the dream and in reality. DYLAN rocks back and forth in reality. The pain becomes unbearable making DYLAN to wake up.
BACK TO REALITY
INT. MOVIE THEATER – NIGHT
DYLAN immediately gets up and heads for the exit by walking down the stairway. The crowd adjusts their heads to see the movie as he walks by. SARA looks at DYLAN and becomes very concern, yet, she continues to watch the movie.
DYLAN heads to the bathroom.
INT. BATHROOM – CONTINUOUS
The bathroom has two sinks, one big mirror, two urinals, and three bathroom stocks.
There is a middle aged man urinating in the urinal. DYLAN checks the bathroom booth and then heads inside. The pain escalates, so DYLAN drops on the ground. He puts his hands on the toilet and his head over it. He first burps and then begins to vomit into the toilet. The guy hears it, quickly washes his hands, and walks out.
After vomiting, DYLAN exist the bathroom and heads back to the theater. As he walks, his left hand is on his face and makes a wiping gesture while the right hand is on his stomach.
INT. MOVIE THEATER – CONTINUOUS
He walks back to his chair and sits down. The crowd adjusts their heads as he passes by. Sara looks at DYLAN and becomes worried.
Are you okay?
The fire alarm rings in the theater. The movie turns off, lights turns on, and the audience starts to panic and makes noises. Two staffs arrive in the theater.
Everyone, please exit the theater safely. Everything is going to be fine.
Those of you that are on the upper levels, please be careful when coming down from the stairs. Please do not run or push. Everyone will get out safely.
The crowd evacuates the theater. DYLAN appears to be very weak. SARA becomes worried about DYLAN.
Are you okay, DYLAN? Is something wrong?
My stomach hurts really bad. I don’t feel too well. I can barely move. Can you carry me?
Yeah, of course. Don’t scare me, DYLAN.
SARA carries DYLAN. STAFF A monitors the evacuation. STAFF B sees SARA and DYLAN.
STAFF A (loud)
Is he okay? Does he need medical attention?
SARA looks bothered by the questioning. DYLAN continues to weak.
No no. He’s fine. He just needs to sit down.
Yeah, I’ll be fine. I just need to sit down somewhere.
Alright. Just let one of us know if you guys need something.
SARA and DYLAN exits the theater.
EXT. OUTSIDE THE THEATER – CONTINUOUS
The streets are now filled with people and others can be seen coming out of the theater. It is very loud because so many people are speaking. Some of the people are angry, some are curious, and some are irritated. A couple of people walk their way to the parking structure.
SARA and DYLAN comes out from the theater. They go to the curb. DYLAN sits down immediately. SARA quickly sits next to him. She takes DYLAN’s head and puts it on her shoulder.
SARA becomes very concern and a bit scared.
I’m so sorry baby. How are you feeling?
(speaks softly and breathing heavily)
Not good at all. My head is pounding and I feel like burning up. My stomach hurts a lot. I have hard time breathing.
OMG! Baby! Can you walk? DYLAN Kind of. SARA Come on, DYLAN! We are going home.
Let’s go to the car.
SARA carries DYLAN to the parking lot. They drive back home. SARA carries DYLAN to her house.
INT. SARA’S HOUSE – CONTINUOUS
The door opens. DYLAN quickly walks to the sofa, lays there, and closes his eyes. He breathes heavily.
SARA comes in and closes the door. She heads over to DYLAN. She sees him shivering.
Get some rest baby. I’ll bring you some pillows and blanket. I’ll get you some water too.
SARA heads to her room and gets a pillow and a blanket. She heads back to DYLAN. She puts the pillow under DYLAN’s head and blanket over him. DYLAN is asleep.
SARA heads to the kitchen and gets water. She then goes back to the living room and puts the cup of water on the coffee table. She walks to her room.
INT. SARA’S HOUSE – MORNING
DYLAN wakes up feeling normal. He walks into the kitchen.
INT. SARA’S KITCHEN – CONTINUOUS
DYLAN gets some water. He passes by the recycling bin an picks up a bottle. He reads the expiration date.
Expiration date: September 12, 2010.
WHAT! No wonder I felt so sick. SARA gave me an expired drink.
SARA enters the kitchen.
Good morning, Baby. Feeling better?
You know why I was so sick last night?
DYLAN hands over the bottle.
Look at the expiration date.
(reads and giggles)
Expired in September 12, 2010. OMG! I am so sorry! I bought you an expired drink and you drank it. I am so sorry.
DYLAN is slightly angry towards SARA.
I usually check the expiration date on everything I eat or drink. I can’t believe the one time I don’t check I get food poisoning. It was hell last night. Thanks for killing me.
SARA becomes sad.
I am so sorry. I didn’t mean to kill you. I didn’t know. I never knew the store would sell expired drinks. This brand is your favorite. You always get it so I got you this one.
OMG! I almost killed my baby!
SARA hugs DYLAN and kisses him on the cheeks followed by lips. SARA continues to giggle.
